American Sailing Association (ASA) Sailing Lessons are offered in New Orleans.
Group classes are held on Saturdays, accommodate 4 to 5 adults and cost $75 per student, per class. Reservations are required for all classes. Most beginners require 4 classes before they are qualified to take the ASA Basic Keelboat Certification exam.
101- Beginner Sailing Lesson-
Offered Saturdays 9am-Noon. Reservations required. $75 per student.
30 minutes in classroom; balance spent on the water.
Prerequisite: Ability to have fun!

102- Intermediate Sailing Lessons-
Offered Saturdays 1-4pm. Reservations required. $75 per student, per course.
Prerequisite: 101 or equivalent experience.
Most students take three 102 lessons before they are ready for the ASA exam or charter check-out.102 Class Dates:

102T- Test prep for the ASA 101 exam. $105.
Offered by appointment. One hour classroom review with Stanton Murray; exam administered in hour two. Upon passing the exam you receive a 1 year membership to the ASA and a subscription to SAIL Magazine.We recommend that you purchase the ASA text book.
Private Lessons are available for a cost of $250 per 3 hours of instruction. Private Lessons accommodate up to 5 people. Book one for some dedicated time with an instructor, or get a group together and split the rate!

Lessons Confirmations are sent by email. If you don’t receive a confirmation email by Thursday, you are not enrolled in the weekend’s lessons.
Cancellation policy: Cancelling within 72 hours of lesson results in forfeiture of fee.Gift Certificates are available.
How to prepare:
There is the occasional splash or drizzle, but we don’t teach in rain or lightning.
Get ready to have a good time!What to wear:
Comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather.
Sunscreen is recommended.
Non-marking soled shoes are appreciated, but not required.Lessons make great gifts! Gift Certificates are available for as many classes as you’d like at $75 each, or for the whole package – $405 for purchase of 4 classes, test prep and exam. We email gift certificates.
