    First, the 1003 is not a good choice if you want to:

    -plane your dinghy; the 1003 is powerful but will not produce the speed to plane most dinghies

    -run more than 6 nautical miles on a single charge / single battery

    -reduces the noise associated with an outboard

    -reduces weight
