In Hong Kong, the Oceanis 48 was awarded ‘Best Production Sailing Yacht’ in up to 15 meters category by Asia Boating Awards, which was organized by Asia-Pacific Boating and ChinaBoating magazines and recognized as the most acknowledged awards in the Asian Marine Industry.
This is the third prize awarded within a few months to these new models of the Beneteau Oceanis range. On 21st January, 2012 Dusseldorf International Boat Show in Germany, the Oceanis 45 was awarded ‘ European Yacht of the year’ by journalists representing 11 European sailing magazines rewarding the most innovative boat in different categories. Move over, when shown first time in Cannes Boat Show 2011, the Oceanis 45 was elected ‘European Sailboat of the Year’ in the family cruiser category. This high title is also considered to be “Oscar of the sailing industry”.
In 2010 Beneteau celebrated the 25 anniversary of the Oceanis, with 42 models and more than 20,000 boats sold, a range which has based its success above all the pleasure of comfortable cruising by inventing a new art of living at sea! In 2011 Beneteau is breathing a new life into the range, whilst respecting the original Oceanis spirit, with three new completely re-examined boats that are more spacious, safer, faster and great access to the sea etc. The new Oceanis became the benchmark for sailing with a standard of comfort up to new reserved for super yachts. Winning many coveted awards for the New Oceanis confirms the success of the permanent innovation.
