BJ Conrad, my son Henry and I moved the 2006 Island Pilot 395 from the St. Petersburg Municipal Marina to our St. Pete office on Salt Creek today. So that our friends at Sailor’s Wharf Boat Yard can haul and block the IP395 at our display yard with our other new & brokerage listings.
Typical, there was a boat tied up where it did not belong and we only had a couple of feet in front of the bow and a couple of feet behind us to maneuver. Which made getting out of our slip at The Pier a little more interesting than normal but she was actually pretty simple to handle with her twin screw and bow thruster and we left without a scratch or a bump. There was thunder storm that rolled in right as we left the slip and so we drove from the lower helm which has very nice visibility and provided us the comfort of being out of the rain. Henry insisted on driving most of the way and he did a great job even though he really could not see over the helm station. There are some drawbacks being only 3 years old but I would trade for it any day. She will top out around 28 kts but we were in no rush so we ran at 8-10kts which made for a very enjoyable ride.
Murray Yacht Sales has this 2006 IP395 on the market with an asking price of $269,000 which is an extremely good value. The other two IP395s currently on the market are asking considerably more and are $349,900 to $435,000. You can view Island Pilot and all of our other listings by clicking FOR SALE.
