First, Cruising in the Lead
Created by Bénéteau thirty years ago, the First range still shows incredible vitality. Through the generations it has continued to surprise in its capacity to innovate and now offers a completely renewed vision of cruising. The year 2008 creates a perfect blend of safety, elegance, comfort and performance.
Designed to cruise, the First makes no concessions to safety on board. The choice of materials and manufacturing processes using the latest technology make it possible to combine durability, lightness and ergonomics. The stern transom, cockpit, deck and the fitting layout are especially studied to make sailing safer and moving about easier and more comfortable for the crew. In the choice of equipment favour there is a preference for boat manoeuvrability and ease of handling.
Designed to appeal, the Firsts are boats for those who appreciate beauty and which are noticed at sea or on the pontoon. The talent of their designers is demonstrated by the tight clean lines of these fast cruisers with a very strong temperament.
Imagined for pleasure, the First are comfortable and elegant boats. Entrusted to the great names in design, their interior design re-examines the standards of well-being on board to make relaxed and refined sailing possible. The materials, natural light, living spaces and equipment are combined with a very contemporary feel.
Intended to be leaders, the Firsts remain faithful to their pedigree. The set of design parameters takes extremely high performance requirements into account. The hull design, carrying the dynamic waterline length to its maximum, gives the boat speed that will guarantee strong sensations. In the “racing” version, Firsts can also take to the starting line of important races, be given their full potential and often come out on top.
