The St. Petersburg (Fla.) Power & Sailboat Show got positive reviews from exhibitors as larger crowds of interested buyers than in recent years came to the show, organizers said.
Attendance figures were not released.
The 33rd annual St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show took place Dec. 2 -5 at the Progress Energy Center for the Arts Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin in St. Petersburg.
“The number of boats in the show was up over 8 percent,” Show Management CEO Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III said in a statement. “The exhibitors who have survived the past year’s slowdown are strong and focused on product that sells.”
The show is a combination of power- and sailboats, so it draws a wide spectrum of boaters at a range of price points.
“The combined power- and sailboat aspect of the show helps our company greatly,” said Bill Wright, co-owner of JSI, a boating accessories shop in St. Petersburg.
