Around 250 boats were built to this Berret/Racoupeau design between 1997 and 2001. The 33.7 was conceived as a multi-purpose boat with the emphasis on good performance and handling but still with a spacious and well-appointed cruising interior. The big rig is reasonably easily managed and the sail handling is set up so that two can run the boat. Performance is excellent and she is responsive and well balanced on the helm, making her a popular club racer. On the other hand, 33.7s have made some long passages and have been used for extended cruising, so she appears to fulfil the dual
role competently. The interior is practical and well finished in the typical Bénéteau style of the late 1990s. The accommodation includes a double aft cabin, parallel settee berths in the saloon and a double forecabin. The single heads is aft. The galley is on the small side but has all the essentials. The chart table is large, forward facing, with plenty of instrument space and a comfortable.
