At the Cannes Yachting Festival this morning, Groupe Beneteau held a press conference outlining its accomplishments for the past year as well as its future strategies. A presentation was made by Hervé Gastinel, Groupe Beneteau CEO.
Gastinel said in the last three years, nearly half of the boat models for sale by the Group’s 10 brands have been renewed, equaling 88 out of 200 models. In the last model year, its Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon, Prestige, Monte Carlo Yachts, CNB, Four Winns, Glastron, Wellcraft and Scarab brands have launched 32 new models. Five will be announced this year.
Eight of its brands are exhibiting at Cannes, with 69 new models, including 13 world premieres and 16 yachts over 60 feet LOA.
Gastinel also revealed the name of the new Excess brand, a new catamaran line that is positioned as a small, sportboat line as opposed to its larger Lagoon cruiser catamaran line.
“Better organized and focused on its business model, the Beneteau Group has sound financial foundations in place and an effective action plan to continue developing,” said Gastinel in a statement. “We aim to continue moving forward, raising standards and imagining what has never been done before. I want the Group to become the global benchmark serving all boating experiences.”
